Certain Day

The Writing Hut

Once there was a tree,
Mighty and strong,
Green leafs all year long,
It stood tall through winter and fall,
Through the summer heat and rainy spring,
The leafs never fell,
Until the faithful day,
When the wind blew one away.

All alone it wandered,
Far away from home,Trying to find a place it belonged.

Driven by the wind from side to side,
It searched all it’s life,
All it’s life was a long ride into the wild,
The unknown, dark or light it was all new,
It’s screaming pain went vain in time,
The worlds in it’s head stopped,
All the things that were once there were gone.

On a uncertain day,
When the sky was gray,
It founds its way.

In a puddle of rain,
The leaf drained,
Went down,
Melted into the ground,
And in that place,
Under that gray sky,
In that muddy place,
The little leaf found its home,
And since then its grown.
