Come feel the pain
You were supposed to be the rain
And I was thirty for your love
But then you walked away
And with out you I lost my way
In the desert I found a way
I don’t need the rain anymore
I don’t need your love anymore
When my heart was burning
You were walking away
I really like the last two lines here: When my heart was burning You were walking away
The idea of the heart burning evokes ideas of repression and longing as well as desire for the lost love.
