The Corpse

The corpse of our relationship poisoned all my cells and I ask myself: Why didn’t I end it while the decay was just a hint? The cadaverous tissue made us both puke; yet, the rot was more appealing than fresh air because it would mean breathing alone. Now I know that when something dies it should be immediately buried.
