Poetry Month Poem #8: Sinking Ship

The Writing Hut

In the silence I find peace
But in the silence my brain screams
It screams out loud
All the thoughts and ideas
They are all out in the open
I can see beautiful things
I can see horrible things

But when the doors open and someone walks in
The brain gets silent
And I am blind again
I can’t think, I can’t feel
There is no save point
That’s why I spend my time alone
To hear myself think
Because I don’t know if you want my ship to sink
Or you want to travel with me and see what I see
