Guest Poem – Haiku: Floating White

We sit by the old pond in the woods with our toes bared.
Watching floating white water boats,
emit a fragrance from a beating sun.

The Writing Hut Comment:

Our first submission in a while, and what a great submission it is. A poem in the traditional style of Haiku that describes life in a very peaceful and warm way, it gives you off that feeling that you are relaxing near a pond surrounded by pleasant sounds and an even  more pleasant scenery. Thank you Linda J. Wolff for your amazing submission. If you want to see more of Linda’s works please visit her website Urban Poetry.

And if you have a poem to share, feel free to post it in the forum.

  1. Beautiful. Really evocative and I can feel the warmth…which is welcome on a cold January day in Wales! Just posted my first Haiku but it was not so good as this.
